What hardware and software does an ISP need to run a Legal Crime server?

You do not need to purchase any special extra equipment in addition to your normal stuff. You need Java run-time, this can be downloaded free of charge @www.javasoft.com. It works in most of OSs including Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Win 95, Win NT, Mac, Linux and about zillion others.

The data transmission need for the server is minimal, since only the game set up is done in the server. Very similar to Kali. As a matter of fact Legal Crime has been made Kali compatible.

Who can run a Legal Crime server?

Will game be faster if we run our own server?

No. It does not matter how many players there are per server, nor from where and how far the players connect, since the game traffic will not go through your server, but is routed between players' machines

Can I run a private server?

No you cannot. A gaming service needs a huge amount of players to function, since a player should always be able to find opponents any time he wants. We have lots of players from all parts of the world, there's enough players online 24-hours a day. Your users wouldn't see those players, if your server was private. You'd have to build the player base yourself. It's a lot easier to get started, if you can immediately offer enough opponents to the new players.

Can I run an Intranet server?

No you cannot. Please see above.

How much bandwidth will Legal Crime use?

When a player starts Legal Crime session it will happen via Legal Crime server, however the actual gaming will not run on your server.
